This gathering, which features delicious food and free on-site child
care (with advanced registration) will be an opportunity for the
community to learn about the connections between health and equal access
to social resources like good-paying jobs, safe affordable housing,
quality education, transportation, etc.  It will also be a chance to
engage in a calm, creative, and productive dialogue about the way class,
race, gender, culture, language, and other factors impact health and
illness in our community.  Our hope is that everyone in attendance will
come away with new ideas about what we can do, as individuals and as a
community, to create a more equitable and inclusive community for all,
and a new commitment to eliminating discrimination in all its forms.

I'm hoping you will help make this gathering a success by:  1)
attending and participating yourself; and 2) encouraging your
colleagues, staff, friends, and customers to attend as well.  If you
would like some 4 x 6 postcards to hand out to people, please let me
know and I'll be happy to have them delivered to you next week.  In the
meantime, feel free to forward this email on to anyone you think might
be interested.

Thanks, and I hope to see you on June 14th!
