Can you hear the rustle of excitement? Allen Neighborhood Center's Allen Street Farmers Market 2008 is Coming!  Please stop by at the corner of Kalamazoo and Allen Street every Wednesday

New Hours!!  2:30pm to 7:00pm May 21st through August 27th
2:30pm to 6:30pm September 3rd through October 29th

Hello Everyone and Happy New Season!  A few newsworthy items to pass your way:

  • As you see in the above, we are pleased to announce expanded hours for the market up until Labor Day in hopes of easing many people's rush to get here after work.
  • We have held several community events through the winter creating beautiful flags, banners, and vendors' signs to launch a colorful and lively market scene.  The final event is scheduled on April 16th at ANC from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  Please consider yourself invited and come in clothes that you can paint in!
  • If you are  interested in volunteering at the market and/or becoming part of our infamous Yard Sign Corps, contact me for more details.
  • AppleSchram Orchard sends word: "Hi Everyone.  We have some great tender and sweet spinach from our hoophouse to compliment our brats or a pork roast. Hope to see you Saturday at the Lansing City Market from 9am-4pm." Jane
  • I believe this mailing list may include a few of you who have asked to be removed - please send me a reply and I will take care of it.
  • Hello to the Yard Sign Corps - you will be receiving a separate email soon to verify your location, contact information and the status of your sign - talk to you soon and take good care!
