  • Final Hazardous Waste Collection*

    Thursday, September Sep 26 is the last day until spring for the regular Ingham HHW collection of old *pesticides (weed killer, insecticides) *photographic chemicals*rechargeable batteries & cell phones *fluorescent lights and ballasts (removed from fixture)*cleaners & polishes *aerosols containing product (throw empties in trash)*flammables (gasoline, lighter fluid, etc.) *home repair products (glue, caulk, etc.) *wood preservatives *mercury (thermometers, thermostats. Place in a *asphalt sealer & roofing tar ziplock bag) *fuel oil *small propane tanks (1 pound size) *automotive products (brake, steering, *acids & bases (pool chemicals, toilet bowl cleaners) transmission fluid) *oil paint (NO LATEX) & paint products (thinner, mineral spirits, stains) waste oil or antifreeze.  *medications: over the counter & prescription.    More at http://hd.ingham.org/media/5031/2009%20hhw%20flyer.pdf

Opportunities to Get Involved

 

While the plastics and green glass market crash has put the damper on our fall recycling drive, there are several other local and regional recycling events you won’t want to miss!  These are collaborative efforts between Ingham County, Meridian Township, Lansing, East Lansing, Eaton County, Clinton County, Delhi Township and others.  There is a need for volunteers at each event.  If you’d like to volunteer, please contact the person listed below:
