(please post them on the web:
In Touch/Team Files/Student Files)
A meeting will be held with Carlene on Thursday, 2/10 at 3pm in the Habitat for Humanity office on Haco Drive (just a few buldings off Pennsylvania on the left, North of the zoo). Jordan, Doug, LeRoy, and possibly Travis and Bryon my attend. Please suggestion changes to this rough outline by Wednesday (2/9) at Midnight.
Items to explore/consider as part of this project:
See what they’re doing now -- what they've done in the past
- Get existing plans
- Existing/potential energy specs.
- Contractor/Volunteer
- Donations/suppliers
- What are Habitat's needs?
- What project options exist?
Other issues that affect a wholistic plan:
- Use a systems approach
- Where located?
- Who's going to live there?
- Related events, goals, etc.
- Maintenance requirements (operable for occupants, understandable)
Design a simple system or unit or ??? that could be added
Consider different scenarios for different applications/conditions
Green building retrofit Active Solar Passive Solar Geothermal Efficiency - Energy Star Other Training/workshop for volunteers (and us)-- possibly part of a series?
PV Energy Code Fuel Cells Green Building Energy Efficiency MORE BRAINSTORMING
- Have a dialogue – find out what they need…
- -training?
- Be flexible but seek a unified vision - clarity to the extent we can
- Part of a Seminar Series?
- Don't give Habitat impression that all of us are "regular" volunteers
